Kenneally Films: A Brief Introduction

From stories of triumph and tragedy, to the outrageous and downright scary! Here we have collected and put together a very small selection of clips, videos and trailers that we think will make for an interesting cross-section of some of our recent projects.

LET THE PEOPLE SING: THE WOLFE TONES STORY

Feature-length biographical documentary film charting the rise of internationally renowned and sometimes controversial Irish folk group The Wolfe Tones. Since originally premiering at Los Angeles Irish Film Festival, this gritty tell-all fly on the wall film has received acclaim in mainstream North American press such as the L.A. Weekly and New York Echo, as well as in specialist publications such as American Cinematheque Magazine.

THE CINEPLEX: IT WAS CHAOS BILLY!

This short stop-motion animated film became an unexpected viral hit as soon as it was uploaded to the web, being passed around tens of thousands of times. Based on a real telephone conversation between Waterford local legends Billy McCarthy and Anne Marks, it details an example of the mismanagement that eventually led to the downfall of the old Waterford Cineplex in Patrick Street (known locally as The Regina) in the city centre, that lay abandoned for 8 years. It has since reopened as Waterford Omniplex. Presented here is the full original film and an accompanying documentary. IT WAS CHAOS BILLY!
